Description

This porters lodge dates from approximately 1906 to 1907 and was designed by Arnold Mitchell. It is constructed of brown brick, with bands of stone and red brick pilasters at the corners, rising into a gabled slate roof with projecting eaves and similarly banded tall chimney stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan. A doorway is located next to the inner angle, featuring an attached column supporting an entablature hood and a part-glazed panelled door. Above the doorway is an octagonal window. Gabled bays extend to the eaves level, with three sash windows on the ground floor and five smaller casement windows on the upper floors. The interior has not been inspected.
