Description
Barnett Hill Lodge is a lodge built around 1905 by Arnold Mitchell. It is constructed of brown brick with gauged brick and ashlar dressings on the angle piers, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a cruciform plan with gables on each face and stands two storeys high. It features a cross ridge stack that has a lozenge section and is panelled on the east gable. The angle piers and gables are banded, and there is a modillion cornice section above each pilaster pier. On the north and south sides, there are two first floor sash windows with moulded surrounds, and an angle bay window below. The east side has a half-glazed panelled door set in a panelled reveal, topped with a shell hood that includes cherub's head decoration and foliate brackets.
