Description

45 and 46 Red Lion Street are a pair of terraced houses, likely built in the mid-18th century and later refronted in the 19th century. The ground floors have been converted into a restaurant.

No. 45 features yellow stock brick and has a slated mansard roof with a dormer. The building has three storeys and an attic, with two windows. The ground floor is a 20th-century restaurant, while the upper floors have gauged brick flat arches over recessed sash windows. A parapet crowns the building.

No. 46 is constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings and has a tiled roof with dormers. This building also has three storeys and an attic, but it has three windows. Similar to No. 45, the ground floor is a 20th-century restaurant, and the upper floors have gauged red brick flat arches over flush framed sashes with exposed boxing. There is a plain red brick band at the first floor level and a projecting red brick cornice.

The interiors have not been inspected.
