Description
Number 10 is a terraced house built around 1760, with some alterations. It features multi-coloured brickwork and has four storeys, including a basement, with the fourth storey added later. The house is double fronted, displaying three windows and a two-window return to Dombey Street. The entrance has a wooden doorcase with Doric columns that support an entablature decorated with triglyphs and an open mutule pediment. There is a round-headed fanlight above the door, which has an archivolt and a console key, leading to a panelled door. The sash windows, which were altered in the early 19th century, have stucco architraves. The side windows are tripartite, with the ground and first-floor windows featuring cornices supported by console brackets, while the third-floor windows have segmental arches. The returned section has reddened gauged brick flat arches above recessed sashes and a sill band at the third floor. The building is topped with a parapet. Although the interior has not been inspected, there are attached cast-iron railings with torch flambe finials as subsidiary features.
