Description

This is a terrace of ten houses located on the west side of Gordon Square, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, featuring rusticated stucco quoins and a rusticated ground floor. They rise four storeys and have basements, with three windows each. The design is symmetrical, showcasing projecting central bays for numbers 20 and 21, and projecting end bays for numbers 16 and 17, as well as 24 and 25, all in an Italianate style. The doorways are square-headed and recessed, equipped with fanlights, sidelights, and panelled doors. The first floor has casement windows with a continuous cast-iron balcony and pediments on the projecting bays, while the other bays are adorned with entablatures. The second and third floors feature sash windows with architraves, and the second floor also has entablatures. A plain stucco sill band runs along the third floor, topped by a bracketed stucco cornice. The interiors have not been inspected. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings with urn finials surrounding the areas.
