Description

Bay Tree Cottage is an early 19th-century lodge or gardener’s cottage, now a private residence. It was altered in the 20th century with the addition of an entrance extension. The building is constructed of painted brick with a stucco ground floor and a first-floor band, and has slated roofs. It is two storeys high, with a single-storey extension. The front elevation is irregular, featuring an octagonal bay to the left with casement windows and sashes. To the right is a first-floor oriel window, clad in slate, and some windows have arched lights. A 20th-century entrance and a canted bay window are part of the extension. The interior has not been inspected.
