Description
No. 108 Frognal is a terraced house, originally likely three houses, built in the early 18th century with a late 19th-century porch. The building features brown brick with bands at the floor levels and stands three storeys tall with seven windows. It has a central projecting two-storey gabled porch that includes an ogival arched doorway. The windows are segmental arched, flush framed, and recessed sashes, with recessed panels between the houses on the first and second floors. The building is topped with parapets. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, it is believed that during the 18th century, No. 108 was used alongside No. 110, Grove Cottage, as a public house that was known by various names, including The Three Pigeons, Ye Pilgrim, The Windmill, and The Duke of Cumberland. Notably, the prima ballerina of the Diaghilev company, Tamara Karsavina, lived here during the 1950s, as indicated by an English Heritage plaque.
