Description
The Oaks is a house located in Frognal, Camden, which dates back to the late 18th century. It has later rear extensions that were added by George Hornblower in 1902 for E.P. Musman. The building stands three storeys tall and features two windows on the front with a three-window return to the garden. It is constructed of brown brick and has pilaster strips at the corners. The roof is hipped and slated, with projecting eaves and an octagonal belvedere topped with a conical bracketed roof and a ball finial. The former entrance on the road front has been converted into a window. The building has gauged red brick flat arches above the recessed sash windows, with cast-iron balconies on the return windows. The return also includes a ground floor bay window and a stone arched entrance nearby. The interior has not been inspected.
