Description
The Mrs Ramsay MacDonald Memorial Seat is a monument located on the north side of Lincoln's Inn Fields, dating from around 1911. Designed by sculptor R.R. Goulden, it features a curved granite alcove with a seat, topped by a bronze group. The memorial includes a portrait figure of Mrs. MacDonald, depicted seated with her arms outstretched and dressed in Classical robes, surrounded by a group of nine playing children. Beneath the statue, an inscription reads, "This seat placed here in memory of Margaret MacDonald who spent her life in helping others."
