Description

Number 5 is a terraced house located on the north side of Lincoln's Inn Fields, dating from the mid-18th century, with its facade rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick, featuring a rusticated stucco ground floor and a first-floor sill string. It stands four storeys tall with a basement and has three windows. The entrance includes a recessed doorway with cavetto reveals, a fanlight, and a panelled door. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with gauged flat brick arches, while the ground floor has segmental headed openings. The building is topped with a parapet.

Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to contain some original fireplaces and panelled rooms. The staircase features turned balusters, columned newels, and carved ends. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings with urn finials surrounding the areas in front of the house.
