Description
This is a terrace of five houses, built between 1860 and 1868, likely by J Burden. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick with rusticated stucco ground floors and feature three storeys and basements. Each house has two windows, except for No. 19A, which has one window on the return. Nos. 19-27 have three windows and a recessed entrance bay. The doorways are adorned with stucco doorcases that have pilasters supporting an entablature, and they feature pilaster-jambs carrying cornice-heads, fanlights, and panelled doors. The windows are recessed sashes with margin glazing, and the ground floors have cast-iron window guards. The upper floors have architraved windows, with the first floors showcasing console bracketed cornices. The terrace is topped with a stucco cornice and blocking course. The interiors have not been inspected. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings with spearhead finials surrounding the areas.
