Description
The drinking fountain, located at the junction with Albert Terrace, dates from the late 19th century and is made of granite. It was probably presented by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain & Cattle Trough Association. The fountain features an octagonal shaft with a projecting semicircular animal bowl at the base. From the center of the base rises an octagonal basin, which supports clustered shafts leading up to an entablature and a domed top. At the very top, there is a cast-iron lamp column with brackets for a lantern.
