Description

This is a churchyard monument located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds, dating from 1833. It serves as a tombstone for several individuals: John Steele, who died in 1865; his wife Elizabeth, who passed away in 1861; their son Jonathan Evans, who died in 1833; George, another son, who died in 1843; William, who died in 1881; and Martha, who died in 1890. This information was recorded in the Survey of Monuments in the Great Churchyard around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
