Description

This is a churchyard monument located in Bury St Edmunds, specifically in the Great Churchyard, and it dates back to 1809. Made from Ketton stone, the monument consists of a headstone and a footstone, although there is no remaining inscription. The headstone features a scene depicting the Good Samaritan, showing a man caring for a fallen figure, with a donkey or a similar animal on the right side. This information is based on a survey of monuments in the Great Churchyard conducted around 1960.
