Description

There are two churchyard monuments located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds. The first monument, known as MON 147, is a tombstone with a head and foot, made of Ketton stone and dated 1813. It commemorates Reverend Thomas Waldegrave, who died in 1813, and his wife Sarah, who passed away in 1804. This tombstone features a cherub sitting on it, holding a festoon across a large urn, along with a scythe and a winged hourglass. The second monument, MON 148, is a plain headstone from the early 19th century, dedicated to Anne Waldegrave.
