Description

This is a large chest-tomb located in the churchyard of Bury St Edmunds, dating from 1810. It is made of Portland stone and commemorates several individuals: Robert Harry Wayman, who died in 1843; Harry Wayman, who died in 1861; Jane Tylney Wayman, who died in 1851; Jane Wayman, who died in 1810; John Wayman, who died in 1836; and John Jackson Wayman, who died in 1832. The tomb is noted in the Survey of Monuments in the Great Churchyard conducted around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
