Description

Orbell's Garage is a late 18th century or early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house located on Market Hill. It stands three storeys tall and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars on the upper storeys. The ground storey includes a three-light window without glazing bars and a 19th century shopfront that has plaster detailing and a close bracketed cornice. The doorway is adorned with narrow pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The roof is covered with slate and has a paired modillion eaves soffit. This building is part of a group of listed buildings that includes all the listed buildings in Market Hill, Church Street, Station Road, and Well Lane.
