CLARE High Street (East Side) Nos 28 & 29

2. A timber-framed and plastered building, possibly C17, with an early-mid C19 brick front, (now painted). With a parapet corbelled out on the north and south ends and a stucco string course. 2 storeys. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals. The ground storey has 2 good C19 shop fronts with pilasters, frieze and a continuous bracketted cornice. The windows have panelled stall boards. Roof slate.

Nos 28 & 29 together with Nos 1 to 8 (consec) form a group.
