Description
Nos 31 to 33 on Callis Street is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building that has been altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure consists of a block facing west on Callis Street (No 33) and a wing extending to the east at the rear (Nos 31 and 32). It is two storeys high. Most of the windows are from the 20th century, but Nos 31 and 32 feature some 18th-century casements with leaded lights. No 33 has a six-panel door with reeded pilasters and a cornice hood. The north-west corner includes an early 19th-century shopfront with glazing bars and a corner entrance. The roofs are tiled, and there is a central red brick chimney stack. Inside, there are some exposed timber framing. All the listed buildings on Callis Street are part of a group.
