Description
The Cock Inn and Peterhouse is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building that was renovated in the 20th century. It has two storeys and cellars, featuring a total of five windows across its façade, which are C20 metal casements with glazing bars. The entrance to the Cock Inn is highlighted by an 18th-century doorcase that includes an architrave and an open pediment supported by console brackets. A bay window extends from the ground floor. Number 4 has one double-hung sash window with glazing bars, set in a flush cased frame topped with a small cornice. Number 5, known as Peterhouse, features an early 19th-century shop window with pilasters and a cornice. The roof is tiled. All the listed buildings on Callis Street are part of a group.
