Description
Nos 26 and 28 on Fore Street are a building with an 18th-century front, likely added to a 17th-century timber-framed structure. The exterior features painted brick and a plastered parapet topped with a modillion cornice. The building has two storeys and a six-window range, arranged in a grouping of five windows on one side and one on the other. The windows are double-hung sashes without glazing bars, set in cased frames. The ground floor includes a 20th-century shop. The roof is double-pitched and covered with tiles. Nos 24 to 28 form a group with Nos 31 to 43 on the opposite side of the street.
