Description

Nos 18 to 20 Windsor Street is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building. It has two storeys and an attic, with seven bays. The high-pitched roof is hipped at the right and has been renewed with machine tiles, featuring two dormers. The three-bay centre projects under a pediment, and there are parapets at the sides. The front is painted brick with a dentil cornice at the eaves and the pediment, which dates from the 18th or early 19th century. There is a lunette in the pediment, and sash windows sit under segmental arches. The ground floor has modern shops, and there are 19th century rear extensions. Nos 10 to 23, along with Nos 16A, 17A, and 21A, form a group.
