Description
Nos 18 and 20 on St Nicholas Street is a 17th-century building made of timber framing and plaster. It features a slightly projecting upper storey and two projecting gables at the front, which have a carved bressumer. This building now includes the southern part of No 16. It has two storeys and attics, with two window openings: one is a three-light double-hung sash with glazing bars, and the other is a casement with glazing bars. The ground floor contains two small shops from the 20th century. The external slopes of the gables are tiled, while the inner slopes are covered with felt. At the rear, there is a timber-framed wing that originally faced the Unitarian Chapel. Nos 10 to 24 (even) form a group of small 16th- and 17th-century timber-framed and plastered houses, some of which were altered in the 18th century and later.
