Description

No. 72 High Street is a cottage located on a corner site, dating from the 16th century. It has two storeys and features a timber-framed structure that is rendered, with a jetty along the High Street frontage supported by small solid brackets. The roof is covered with Roman tiles. The cottage has casement windows and a 20th-century door. A photograph from around 1890 indicates that the building was originally longer, suggesting it may have been a cross-wing to No. 70.
