Description

The Beeches is a house located on the west side of High Street in Ixworth. It dates from the early 19th century but has a core that originates from the 17th century. The building is now three storeys high, having originally been two. It features a rendered brick exterior, with the outlines of Dutch gables visible at both the north and south ends. The roof is a two-span slate design.

The façade includes three windows, which are tripartite sashes set in deep reveals, with segmental arches above the ground and first floors. The entrance features a six-panel field door with a rectangular fanlight above it. The door is flanked by damaged wooden half-round Roman Doric columns, and there is a broken entablature topped with a segmental pediment.
