Description

No. 52 High Street is a cottage that features a shop on the ground floor and living space above, although it is now entirely used for domestic purposes. It dates from the early 19th century and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the upper floor is finished with plaster. The building has a slate roof and includes a small-paned shop window with reeded surrounds. There is a door on the left with six flush panels and a boarded door on the right. On the upper floor, there are two mid-20th century casements that have replaced the original casements, which featured leaded Gothic lights. This building is included for its group value.
