Description

Seaman's Dairies is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the 18th century. It is two storeys high and features a timber frame that is plastered and designed to look like stone blocks. There is a gault brick chimney stack at one end and a black glazed pantiled roof. The building has sash windows with two vertical bars. The doorway, dating from around 1840, has a moulded surround and a flat pediment, and it supports a canted bay window. To the left, there is a mid-19th century double shop front with three-light windows that have rounded Gothic heads and ornate spandrels, along with a base made of patterned tiles. The interior has been significantly modernised, and the building was shortened by one bay around 1980, with the shop window being reset.
