Description

This barn, located 30 yards north of Honeyhill Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It features six bays, two aisles, and one midstrey. The structure is timber-framed and weather-boarded, topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof. The aisle walls are arch-braced, and the end walls are tension-braced. Inside, it has a clasped purlin roof supported by jowled queen-posts, with principal rafters spaced at half bay intervals. This barn is a near-complete example of its type.
