Description
This is a barn located about 30 metres southwest of Hinderclay Hall, built in the mid-19th century. The barn is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof, forming a large rectangular block. The central barn is surrounded by lean-to sheds that share a continuous roof. Access to the barn is provided through tall gabled midstreys, with two on each long side, featuring gauged brick depressed arched headed openings and double doors. The gable parapets have moulded kneelers. Between the midstreys, there are open-fronted cart sheds leading to yard outer coachhouse doors, with some areas covered in weatherboarding. The right end of the barn, facing the house, has a segmental headed door flanked by two-light glazing bar casements. The left end, facing the road, is partially open and partially weatherboarded, with some clay lump construction. The interior has not been inspected.
