CROWFIELD STONE STREET TM 15 Nll 3/16 Barn, 40m east of Street Farmhouse GV II Barn; probably C15 core with alterations of C16 and C19. 3 bays. Timber- framed and weatherboarded. Pantiled roof. A pair of late C20 boarded doors at centre bay; evidence for opposing doorway now blocked. Fairly complete widely-spaced C15/C16 studwork with arch wind-bracing at corners. Open trusses have tiebeams with long thick arch-braces. A wallplate has a long edge-halved and bridled scarf with a slight but distinctive splay, found in the early C15 work at Street Farmhouse. Roof rebuilt and an outshut added beside the road, in C19. Included for group value.
