Description
Magdalen House is a house that likely has a 17th-century timber-framed core, which is covered with a late 19th-century red-brick exterior. The building has a slate roof and stands two storeys tall with a five-window range. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with fielded panels and a fretlight above. The doorcase is moulded and includes a decorative strapwork frieze. The ground floor has four horned sash windows, while the first floor has five, all of which are 15/1 sashes set beneath gauged skewback arches. The roof is gabled, and there are two stacks on the rear slope. There is also a single-storey extension to the west, which has similar window styles, a gabled slate roof, and a ridge stack. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
