Description

The Kerrison Memorial is a monument dedicated to Lieutenant-General Sir Edward Kerrison, built in 1888 by J.K. Colling. It is constructed from granite and Ketton stone, featuring marble columns. The memorial has a square plinth set on steps, with each of its four faces displaying an inscription panel beneath a gable that is both crocketed and carved. This gable is supported by two marble columns that have stiff-leaf capitals, which transition into crocketed pinnacles. The design includes broaches that convert the square base into an octagonal stone spire, topped with a crocket finial.
