Description
This barn, located 20 meters southeast of Green Farmhouse, likely dates from the late 16th century but has undergone significant alterations over the years, including various additions in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber framed, primarily covered in plaster and tar, with the east gable end weatherboarded. The roof is clad in corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of five bays and features a central cart entrance with a gabled porch on the south side. The section to the east of the cart entrance is the least altered, showcasing full-height studs and a roof supported by wind-braced clasped purlins. The frame to the west of the cart entrance has been more extensively modified, with a replacement wallplate positioned slightly above the original and a roof added in the 20th century. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
