Description

This house, occupied by Mr. E. Battle, dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is a single-storey building with attics and features a two-cell end chimney plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that includes one 20th-century eyebrow casement dormer. On the left side, there is an original internal gable chimney, although its shaft has been rebuilt in 19th-century red brick. The chimney on the right side consists of 19th and 20th-century casements and a glazed entrance door.
