Description

Norman Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It has a timber frame that is partly cased in brick, and the exterior is plastered and colourwashed. The roof is thatched. The house features a small three-cell lobby entry plan and is two storeys high. The entrance is located to the right of the centre, sheltered by a tiled gabled porch, and has 20th-century three-light casements. There is a ridge stack to the right of the centre, situated between the hall and parlour, with its cap rebuilt in the 19th century. The parlour, located at the right gable end, has had part of its 19th-century brick casing removed to reveal the timber framing, which includes studding with a mid-rail, jowled posts, and straight arched stud braces. The left gable end is also brick cased. At the rear, there is a low addition with a tiled roof from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
