Description

No. 19 Castle Street is a house and shop dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a rendered and colourwashed timber frame and a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are three late 20th-century casements that alternate with two late 20th-century partly-glazed doors. The first floor jetties out, supported by five arched braces beneath the jetty bressumer. The first floor has three late 20th-century top-hung casements. The hipped roof is entirely of early 20th-century construction and includes a central ridge stack with twin octagonal flues. The interior has not been inspected.
