DEBENHAM TM 16 SW 3/41 Outbuilding 10m north of - Ulveston Hall

GV II

Farm store, incorporating the end bay of a manorial building, possibly the court hall. Derelict at time of survey (July 1987). C16 with C19 bay to north. Timber framed, render mostly missing. Plaintiled roof. 2 storeys. Various small casement windows. Interior. Good close studding on upper floor but mostly missing on ground floor. Former gable end to north has original brick nogging; evidence for similar infilling in side walls. Massive wallposts; 2 windows with diamond mullions. Upper floor has plain joists. Roof has a single row of clasped purlins with cranked wind braces. Included for group value.
