Description
The building is a multi-purpose farm structure located southeast of Minshull Hall Farm. It dates from the late 17th century, with 19th century and later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of brown brick and features a tile roof, with a gabled, "U" shaped plan. It has two storeys and six bays, with a three-course deep brick band at the first floor level. The windows are flush multiglazed casements, and there is a single wide-boarded door fitted with old strap hinges. Brick pilasters separate some of the bays, and the gables are adorned with stone kneelers and finials, as well as blue tile copings. The 19th century wing on the east side has a similar design to the gables. Inside, some bevelled beams and heavy oak joists are still visible, along with re-used purlins and modified king post trusses that include oak tie beams. The building is listed for its group value only.
