Description

Cousins Farmhouse, probably built in the 17th century, comprises two houses originally built as one farmhouse. The building is timber-framed and covered with a roughcast render. It has a thatched roof featuring ornamental bargeboards dating to the 19th century, finished with spike finials. A central chimney, originally of red brick, was rebuilt in the late 20th century. The farmhouse follows a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. It is two storeys high, with 20th-century casement windows, some with small panes of glass. The entrance features a half-glazed panelled door, also dating to the 20th century. A lower service range to the left, covered with plaintiled roofing, is likely an addition from the 18th century. The interior has not been inspected.
