Description
Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a three-cell cross-passage entrance plan. The building is timber-framed and roughcast, topped with a concrete tiled roof that includes an axial 17th-century chimney made of red brick. The early 19th-century windows are three-light casements, with those on the ground floor having transoms; one window on the first storey has leaded lights. The entrance door, which is from the 20th century, is boarded and battened, and is sheltered by an open hipped concrete tiled roof supported by posts. At the rear, there is a 19th-century service wing made of red brick with a slated roof.
