Description

Tollgate Farm Cottage is a former farmhouse dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed and rendered, with a concrete-pantiled roof. The cottage has a three-cell layout and stands two storeys high. Most of the windows are mid-20th century casements, with those on the ground floor featuring diamond-leaded glass. There are two original diamond-mullioned windows on the first floor, with an additional two on the rear wall. A 20th-century gabled porch includes a side entrance with a panelled door. The internal stack is a 19th-century red brick shaft. The interior has not been examined.
