Description
Siva Kennels is a former farmhouse dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed and roughcast-rendered, with a pantiled roof. The building has a three-cell form, stands two storeys tall with an attic, and features three mid-20th century casement windows that do not have glazing bars. The entrance is a lobby with a gabled timber porch that has a half-glazed door made of two leaves; inside the porch is an older plank door. There is an internal stack with a rendered shaft and a lean-to on the left gable end.
Inside, some studding is partially exposed and features reverse-curved braces. The floor structure is mostly concealed, and there is a newel stair. The roof in the attic, located to the right of the stack, has clasped purlins and two-way wind braces. It is possible that the stack is a later addition.
