Description

A range of four houses dating to around 1820, located on the east side of Lowgate Street. The houses are built with rendered and colourwashed clay lump walls resting on a tarred brick plinth. They have a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a five-window facade. Five plank doors face the street, with a further door to number 13 located in a passageway at the south end. The doors to numbers 7 and 9 are a pair, flanked by a three-light casement window on either side. Similar casement windows are found to the right and left of the door to number 11. The upper floor features five two-light casement windows. The roof is gabled, with a central ridge stack and internal gable-end stacks to the north and south. The interiors were not inspected.
