Shown on OS Map as 22 and 24. House. Pair of early C16 houses, converted to one in late C20. Plastered and whitewashed timber frame. Pantiled roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Two C20 doors alternating with two 3-light late C20 casements. First floor lit through two 2-light and one 3-light late C20 casements. Gabled roof. Central inserted ridge stack in lobby-entrance position. INTERIOR: stack of early C17 brick (to north room), fireplace in south room rebuilt in early C18: chamfered bressumer to south fireplace; north fireplace bressumer late C20. Timber frame of heavy scantling, with middle rails, chamfered bridging beams with mortices for arched braces, jowled principal posts to each floor. Tension braces to first floor and tie beams on arched braces (only one remaining). First floor retains square mortice holes for 4 mullioned C16 windows. Roof of combination type utilising crown posts and queen posts. Rectangular-section crown posts with arched braces to crown purlin. Square-section queen posts supported by arched braces from tie beams, each post with arched braces to queen purlins.
