Description
The building is a house and attached barn located 150 meters southwest of Dagworth Hall, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is a single storey with attics and features a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The structure is timber-framed and pebble dashed, topped with a thatched roof. There is a 19th-century pantiled gabled dormer with ogee-cusped bargeboards. An axial chimney has a shaft that was rebuilt in 19th-century red brick. The lobby entrance includes a 19th-century small-pane casement window and a boarded door. The interior has not been examined. Attached to the house, slightly set forward to the right, is an outbuilding that is about three bays long, possibly a barn. This outbuilding is also timber-framed, primarily weatherboarded, with some earlier tarred plaster, and has a corrugated iron roof that was once thatched.
