Description
Bush's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1600, with the possibility of an earlier core. It has two storeys and was likely originally designed as a two-cell end-chimney plan. Since the 17th century, it has featured two end chimneys. The building is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a plaintiled roof that has a chequerboard pattern made of darker tiles.
On the right side, there is an external chimney from around 1600, constructed of pink/orange brick and featuring twin octagonal shafts, which may have been added later using larger bricks. On the left side, there is an internal end chimney from the later 17th century, made of red brick with twin octagonal shafts, which has been partly rebuilt in the mid-20th century. The farmhouse has mid-20th century small-pane steel casements and a 20th-century flush entrance door with a small plaintiled canopy. The interior has not been examined.
