Description
Sorrels House is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, although the front elevation is now painted. The building features a band at the first floor and a wooden cornice with dentils at the eaves. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has end chimneys made of red brick. The house has two storeys and three windows. The late 18th-century small-pane sash windows have cambered heads made of gauged brick on the ground floor. The entrance door has six panels, with the upper pair being glazed. An unusual limestone entablature is present, featuring a segmental cornice and flat pilasters with scrolled brackets, along with a carved fan beneath the cornice.
