Description
Willow Cottage is a house dated 1753, indicated by large raised plaster figures across the dormers, although it may have a slightly earlier core. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched roof. It has one storey and attics, featuring a two-cell end chimney form, with the chimney stack located externally on the west gable end. There are three gabled dormers with plain bargeboards and finials, each containing two-light casement windows with a single bar between the lights. The ground floor has two old three-light fixed windows with a central transom, and between them is a 20th-century plank door accompanied by a small single-light window, both situated beneath a plain sloping bracketed pediment. A similar door with a smaller pediment is located at the right end of the house. The interior was damaged by fire some years ago.
