Description

The Old Stores is a house that was formerly used as a shop, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure that is rendered with ashlar lining and has a 20th-century pantile roof. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and includes a short 1½-storey range at the back. There is a rear chimney stack.

The front of the building has two large square bays with fixed shop windows and a central transom. Between the bays, there is an Edwardian panelled and half-glazed door. On the upper floor, there are two 3-light Edwardian windows in the mullion-and-transom style. The gable wall has an old 3-light attic window with square leaded panes and pintle hinges.
