Description
This is a mid-17th century house located 70 meters south of Hartesmere Grange. At the time of the survey in May 1987, the house was unmodernised and empty. It features a timber frame with plaster and a thatched roof. The building is designed in a two-cell, end chimney style and has two storeys. There are two windows, which are 19th-century three-light casements, each with a single slender horizontal glazing bar. The entrance consists of a plank door. The house has gable stacks, with the left stack being a later addition and positioned on the outside. There is also a one-storey lean-to on the left gable end. Inside, the ground floor rooms have plain joists that are set flat and spaced quite widely. The remainder of the interior was not examined.
